Privacy policy
Kidoflix is made for children, so we hold ourselves to a high standard. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
In short
- No ads and no data selling. We never sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and there are no ads on Kidoflix.
- Parents are in charge. Accounts are created and managed by parents, and we process a child's information only with a parent's consent.
- We collect as little as we can. Only what we need to run Kidoflix, keep it safe and make it better.
- You can delete it. Ask us to delete your account and your child's data at any time.
Who we are
Kidoflix is operated by Superlicious Private Limited, Sector 62, Gurugram 122098, Haryana, India ("Kidoflix", "we", "us"). We decide how and why personal information is processed for the Kidoflix apps and this website, and we follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
What we collect
From parents
- Your email address or mobile number, and your name, when you create an account or ask us to notify you at launch.
- Subscription details, such as your plan, renewal dates and payment status. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partners; we don’t store your full card number.
- Messages you send us, for example when you ask for help.
About children (added by a parent)
- A profile name or nickname, an avatar and an age range, so we can show age-appropriate content.
- Activity in the app, such as shows watched, games played, stories heard and time spent, which powers parent insights and the time lock.
- Voice input when your child talks to GOOFU (see GOOFU and voice below).
From devices
- Basic technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version and crash reports, to keep the app working well.
Children’s privacy
Kidoflix is for children aged 2 to 8, used under a parent's account. We ask for a parent's consent before processing any information about a child. We don't track children for advertising, we don't show them ads, and we don't build behavioural profiles for marketing.
Children can't make payments, share content publicly or chat with other users on Kidoflix. If we learn that we've collected a child's information without a parent's consent, we will delete it.
GOOFU and voice
GOOFU, our AI companion, uses your child's voice only so it can understand them and reply. Voice is processed to generate GOOFU's response and is not used for advertising. GOOFU is designed to keep conversations age-appropriate and to avoid asking children for personal details.
You can turn GOOFU's voice features off in the parent section at any time.
How we use information
- To provide Kidoflix: create accounts, show age-appropriate content and remember progress.
- To power parent features, such as the time lock and insights on how your child spends time.
- To manage subscriptions and payments, including pre-debit alerts before autopay renewals.
- To tell you when Kidoflix launches, if you asked us to, and to send important account messages.
- To keep Kidoflix safe and reliable: fix bugs, prevent misuse and improve content.
- To meet our legal obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Kidoflix. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your information, except where the law requires us to keep certain records (for example, payment records) for a set period.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews of our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your family's information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
As a parent, you can:
- See and correct the information we hold about you and your child.
- Withdraw consent, for example by turning off GOOFU’s voice features or removing a child’s profile.
- Ask us to delete your account and your child’s data.
- Unsubscribe from launch and marketing emails using the link in any email.
- Raise a complaint with us, and if you’re not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Most of these can be done from the parent section. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
